1. Who We Are

Mizz P. Post-Secondary Success Consulting, LLC, doing business as On Track With Mizz P. (“On Track With Mizz P.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is a college and career consulting business based in the Bronx, New York. We support students, families, schools, and organizations with college admissions, career planning, financial aid, and scholarships.

We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at info@mizzp.nyc.

2. Our Privacy Promise

We collect only what we need.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Student information we receive through school partnerships is never used for marketing and is kept separate from our email lists.
You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information at any time.

3. What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to information collected through:

our website, https://mizzp.nyc, and its subdomains, including our interactive tools and online hubs (the “Website”);
our online store, hosted on Stan Store;
our emails and newsletters; and
our workshops, trainings, events, and one-on-one services (together with the Website, the “Services”).

Some of our products are also sold on third-party marketplaces, such as Teachers Pay Teachers, Amazon, and The Game Crafter. When you buy through those sites, their privacy policies apply, not this one.

By using our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

4. Information We Collect

When you join our email list. We collect only your first name and email address, and only when you choose to opt in (for example, to get a free download, our newsletter, or event updates).
When you make a purchase. Our online store is hosted on Stan Store. At checkout, Stan collects the information needed to complete your order, such as your name, email address, and payment details. Payments are processed by Stan and its payment processors. We do not see or store your full credit or debit card number. We receive your name, email address, and what you purchased so we can deliver your order and support you.
When you contact us or book a service. If you email us, fill out a contact form, or request a workshop or consultation, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, school or organization, and your message.
When you use our interactive tools and hubs our free tools do not require an account, and we do not save what you type into them. For paid hubs, we may use your email address to give you access and manage your access period.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, we and our service providers (such as Google Analytics) may automatically collect information like your browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on pages, how you found us (including tracking links), and general location (city or region). We use this to understand what is helpful and to improve the Website. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Information from schools and organizations. See Section 7, Student Data From School Partnerships.

What we never ask for: We will never ask for your Social Security number, bank account numbers, tax returns, or your FSA ID username or password through our Website, emails, or store. If anyone asks for these while claiming to be us, do not respond and let us know.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

send you the free resources, emails, and newsletters you signed up for;
process and deliver your purchases and give you access to products and hubs;
respond to your questions and requests;
deliver workshops, trainings, and consulting services;
send important notices, such as updates to our policies;
run giveaways and contests you choose to enter;
improve our Website, products, and services; and
meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in these limited situations:

Service providers who help us run our business, such as Stan Store (online store and payments), Flodesk (email), Google Analytics (website statistics), and our website host wordpress. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal reasons, when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our clients, the public, or our business.
Business transfer. If our business is sold or transferred, customer and email list information may be transferred to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
Student data received through school partnerships will not be transferred. It will be returned or deleted as required by our agreements with schools.

7. Student Data From School Partnerships

When this section applies. We provide services to New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) and other schools and organizations under written agreements. To deliver those services, we may receive limited student information, such as a student’s name, school, graduation year, school email address, and notes on what we worked on together (“Student Data”).

The laws and agreements we follow. We handle Student Data in line with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), New York Education Law §2-d and its regulations (8 NYCRR Part 121), NYCPS Chancellor’s Regulation A-820, and our Data Processing Agreement with each school or district. If anything in this Privacy Policy conflicts with those laws or agreements, the laws and agreements control.

Our commitments. For Student Data, we:

use it only to deliver the services the school contracted us for;
never sell it or use it for marketing, advertising, or any commercial purpose;
collect only the minimum information needed;
store it in one secure, encrypted, access-controlled system, with access limited to the business owner;
protect accounts with strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and use encrypted, password-protected devices;
never enter Student Data into artificial intelligence (AI) tools and never send it by regular email;
return paper records to the school or shred them;
do not use subcontractors who access Student Data without the school’s prior approval;
notify the school or district promptly if we discover or suspect a breach or unauthorized release of Student Data, as required by law and our agreements, and cooperate fully; and
return or securely delete Student Data when our agreement ends or the data is no longer needed, as directed by the school.

Parents’ rights. Parents and eligible students (students 18 and older) have the right to inspect and review a student’s education records, and to request corrections, by contacting the student’s school. Under New York law, parents may also file a complaint about a possible breach or improper disclosure of student data with the school, with NYCPS at studentprivacy@schools.nyc.gov, or with the New York State Education Department’s Chief Privacy Officer at privacy@nysed.gov. The NYCPS Parents’ Bill of Rights for Data Privacy and Security is available on the NYC Public Schools website.

8. Students and Young People Who Sign Up on Their Own

Under 13. Our Website and Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us at info@mizzp.nyc.

Ages 13 to 17. Teens may choose to join our email list to get free college and career resources. By opting in, you agree to let us use your first name and email address only to send you what you signed up for. We do not sell this information or use it for targeted advertising. You can change your mind at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email or emailing info@mizzp.nyc, and we will remove you. We encourage teens to tell a parent or guardian when they sign up. Purchases should be made by a parent, guardian, or other adult.

Separate from school data. If a student signs up for our emails on their own (for example, at a college fair or on our Website), that is separate from any information we receive through a school partnership. We encourage students to use a personal email address, not a school-issued one, when signing up for our emails.

9. Email Communications

We only email you if you opted in or contacted us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@mizzp.nyc to be removed. Even after you unsubscribe, we may still send messages about a purchase you made (such as a receipt or access link).

10. Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved on your device that help websites work and remember your preferences. We use cookies and similar tools to keep the Website running, remember settings, and measure visits through Google Analytics.

Your choices:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if you do.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. We do not currently respond to these signals.

Embedded content. Some pages include content from other sites, such as YouTube videos. Those sites may collect information about you as if you visited them directly, under their own privacy policies.

11. How Long We Keep Information

Email list: until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep only what we need to make sure you are not emailed again.
Purchase records: as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes, generally up to seven years.
Messages and inquiries: as long as needed to respond and provide services.
Student Data: only as long as allowed by our agreement with the school, then returned or securely deleted.

Backups may keep small amounts of information for a short time after deletion.

12. Your Rights and Choices

You may ask us to:

tell you what personal information we have about you;
correct information that is wrong;
delete your information; or
stop sending you marketing emails.

Email info@mizzp.nyc to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within 30 days. We may keep information we are required to keep by law. For Student Data, please contact the student’s school, since the school controls those records.

13. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure, encrypted platforms, strong passwords, and two-factor authentication. Payment information is handled by our payment providers, not stored by us. No website or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Third-Party Links and Platforms

Our Website and emails may link to other websites, such as college, scholarship, and financial aid sites, and to our social media pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.

15. Where Information Is Stored

We are based in the United States, and our service providers store information in the United States. If you use our Services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

16. How We Use Artificial Intelligence (AI)

We use AI tools behind the scenes to help run our business, such as building and designing our website and interactive tools, drafting and editing content, brainstorming, creating graphics, translating materials, and organizing our work. Our Website and tools do not use AI to generate responses or results for visitors. Here is how we keep our use of AI safe and honest:

A real person is in charge. Mizz P. reviews and approves AI-assisted content before it is shared. Decisions about our services are always made by a person, not by AI.
Student Data never goes into AI tools. We never enter Student Data from school partnerships into any AI tool.
We protect your personal information. We keep personal information out of AI tools whenever possible, and we never enter sensitive information, such as financial details. Some of our service providers (such as our email or website platforms) include built-in AI features; those providers are bound by their own privacy terms.
No AI training with your data. We do not share your personal information with anyone to train AI models.
AI will always be labeled. If we ever add an AI-powered feature, such as a chatbot or a tool that creates results using AI, we will clearly tell you that you are interacting with AI before you use it.
No automated decisions about you. We do not use AI to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last Updated” date. If we make a major change to how we use your information, we will let you know by email or a notice on the Website.
